Best Crypto Prop Firms 2026: Challenges, Rules and Payouts
Challenge cost, allowed losses and profit split: compare the rules before you pay.
The best crypto prop firm depends on your goal. To farm points in the Hyperliquid ecosystem, our No. 1 is Propr (80% profit split on every plan, onchain payouts in USDC), the only one in this comparison with an announced points program. To pay as little as possible, the cheapest challenge found in this comparison is Propr Turbo 5k / Hypernova Tight 5k, at $25.
A crypto prop firm (proprietary trading firm) sells you a challenge: hit the profit target without breaking the daily loss limit or the maximum drawdown, and you get a funded account, usually simulated, with a share of the profits of 80% to 95% depending on the firm. If you fail, the challenge fee is lost.
We compare six crypto prop firms, three of them in the Hyperliquid ecosystem, based on their published rules: challenge price, profit target, daily loss, drawdown, profit split and payout method.

Watch out: The trader’s account and the firm’s possible copying of signals are two different things. Challenge fees are at risk.

How to choose a crypto prop firm
- Price relative to account size
- Compare the challenge price with the size of the evaluated account: at Vertical, $69 for 5k and $219 for 25k; at HyroTrader, $59 for 5k and $249 for 25k. This price is lost if you fail.
- Daily loss and maximum drawdown

- Simulated account or real capital
- Hypernova and Vertical state that their accounts are simulated: a "25k" account is not money you can withdraw. Only your share of validated profits is paid out.
- Trading rules
- Maximum leverage, minimum duration and banned strategies vary from one firm to another: Vertical bans algorithmic strategies and caps leverage at 1:10, HyroTrader requires at least 5 trading days. A violation can void the account.
- How profits are paid out
- Check the currency, threshold and timing of withdrawals: onchain USDC at Propr, USDT or USDC at HyroTrader, onchain USDT or fiat at Vertical, USDC on Ethereum from $50 at Breakout.
