Check a crypto site: real site or scam?

Paste the address of a crypto site: we’ll tell you if it’s the real one or a scam. And the free Chrome extension warns you in real time.

How the checker works

  • Official domains : 125 crypto services and their real domains, checked by hand.
  • Anti-phishing blacklist : over 100,000 fake sites reported, via MetaMask’s public list, updated continuously.
  • Imitation detection : typos, fake domains, Cyrillic letters, free hosting services.

Frequently asked questions

Is the checker 100% reliable?

No, no tool is. A site missing from our list isn’t necessarily a scam, and a real site can be hacked. Use it as a second opinion, on top of your own good habits.

Can the extension see my history?

It reads the address of the pages you open to check them, directly in your browser. Nothing is sent to AddictCrypto or anyone else. Only the public anti-phishing list is downloaded.

How does the extension monitor my bookmarks?

It keeps a fingerprint of your bookmarks. If a bookmark’s address changes, or if a bookmark points to a dangerous site, you get a notification and an alert in the extension.

How does the extension protect my clipboard?

It never reads your clipboard in the background. When you paste an address, it compares it with the one you copied and with your trusted address book: if it has been replaced or is a look-alike (same start, same end), the paste is blocked. A recovery phrase or private key pasted or typed on a site is blocked and erased, never saved. And a right-click in a field inserts an address from the book without going through the clipboard.

Why install it manually?

It isn’t published on the Chrome Web Store yet. Installing in “developer mode” is Chrome’s official method for extensions outside the store and takes a minute.
